Robotics Courses

 

 

1)ROBOTICS APPRECIATION WORKSHOP- ONE SESSION

·   Suitable for children from 6 years old or anyone ( including adults) who wants to know more about Robotics before signing up for a Course

·    Each session is 2 hours 

·      Build a simple robot to achieve a simple mission

·       Robotics set will be provided but NOT to be taken home after the session

·       We Use different Lego Robotics Sets (WeDO, RCX or NXT) for different age groups.

·       Fees : Average S$20 per hour/per student. Please contact our office for further details

·       We can also do party/corporate events. A minimum of 10 pax is needed for a 2 or 3-hour session. Contact us!

 

 

2)ROBOTICS COURSE – LEVEL 1 (L1) - BEGINNER

 ·       For children ages 6-8 years old. No experience in Robotic

·      Total of 8 sessions per course. Lesson at once a week

·       Each session is 2 hours. Please check Course Calendar for details

·       Fees: $250 per student

·       Minimum of 3 students to start a class. Max of 5 students per class.

·       Using Lego WeDO and RCX robotics sets

·       Robotics Models taught are:

 o        Dancing Birds

 o        Smart Spinner

 o        Drumming Monkey

 o        Soccer game

 o        Goal Kicker

 o        Goal Keeper

 o        Cheerful Fans

 o        Roverbot

 o        Acrobot

 o        Artbot

 

 

3) ROBOTICS COURSE – LEVEL 2 (L2)

 

 ·        Suitable for children ages 9 to 15 without experience in robotics or for those who have completed Level 1 Course.

 ·        Total of 8 sessions per course. Each session is 2 hours. Please check Course Calendar for schedule

 ·        Fees:  $250 per Course

 ·        Minimum 3 students to start a class. Maximum of 5 students per class.

 ·        Using Lego NXT Mindstorms Version 1.0

 ·        Introduction to Robotics and programming

 ·        Programming for Mission Challenge

 ·        Models taught :

 o        Birthday Cake

 o        Remote controlled vehicle

 o        Ball Roller Coaster

 o        Spin Art Machine

 o        Lawn Mover

 o        Wind up Ballerina

 o        Scorpio

 o        Explorer Bot

 o        Voice Controlled Car....many more

 

 

 4) ROBOTICS COURSE – LEVEL 3 (L3)

 

 ·      This Course focuses more on NXT programming

 ·       Suitable for children age 9 to 15 who have completed Level 1 and 2 Courses

• Total of 8 sessions per course over a week.

 ·       Fees:  $300 for 8  sessions

•  Minimum 2 students to start a class. Maximum of 5 students per class.

 ·        Using Lego NXT Mindstorms version 1.0 or 2.0

 ·        Programming for Mission Challenge using different types of sensors and programming instructions such as MOVE, LOOP,BRANCH and Sensor commands

• Robotics models that frequently used in competitions will be taught:

 o        Design a Simple Vehicle robot

 o        Line Follower Robot

 o        Sumobot

 o        Catapult based on lever concepts

•   Nxt to Nxt sending messages

 o        Bluetooth communications (Master and Slave)

 o        Design your own robot
