Robotics course -
Level 1 Beginner
ages 6+
$460 for 8 sessions

For ages 6+, preferably with experience in our Lego Engineering courses.

Total of 8 sessions per course.

2 hours per session.

Develop building skills and an understanding of simple coding concepts.

Use Funbots, Lego WeDo and Lego Mindstroms NXT.
Robotics course -
Level 2 / 2A Beginner
ages 8+
$460 for 8 sessions

For ages 8+, or for those who have completed Level 1 course.

Total of 8 sessions per course.

2 hours per session.

Build intermediate robotics models using Lego Mindstroms NXT and programming with NXT-G software.
-
Build robots with different sensors and program them to move in different directions and respond to sensor inputs.
Robotics course -
Level 3 / 3A
Intermediate to Advance
ages 9-10
who have completed Level 2
$460 for 8 sessions

For ages 9 to 10 who have completed Level 2 course.

Total of 8 sessions per course.

2 hours per session.

Build more complicated robots and program them to respond to multiple sensors, using Lego Mindstroms NXT programming blocks.
Robotics course -
Level 4
Advance Project / Young Inventor
ages 9-10
who have completed Level 3
$460 for 8 sessions

For ages 9 to 10 who

have completed Level 3 course;
-
have knowledge of key Lego Mindstroms NXT robotics parts;

can program NXT-G independently using Common Palette Blocks;

can attend on a regular basis.

Design and create own robot using Lego Mindstroms NXT, complete with a brief introduction and video presentation of the project.
Robotics Course -
Level 6A / 6B
EV3 Intermediate
ages 11+
who have completed Level 5
$520 for 8 sessions

For ages 11+ who have completed Level 5 course and keen to explore advance Lego Mindstroms EV3 models.

Total of 8 sessions per course.

2 hours per session.

Build EV3 robots with multiple sensors and more complex mechanical designs.

Program with advance EV3 commands.

Program line following and obstacle avoidance robots.
Robotics course -
Level 7
EV3 Project / Young Inventor II
ages 12+
$520 for 8 sessions

For ages 12+ who are keen to develop their programming skills and able to work independently.

Total of 8 sessions per course.

2 hours per session.

Design, build and program own Lego Mindstroms EV3 robot to perform specific tasks.

Prepare an introduction and video presentation of the project.
Robotics course -
Level 8
EV3 Advance
ages 12+
$520 for 8 sessions

For ages 12+ who are keen to develop their programming skills.

Total of 8 sessions per course.

2 hours per session.

Programming tracks include:

mOwayWorld programming for mOway mini-robots;
-
Scratch programming for mOway or Lego Mindstroms NXT robots;
-
RobotC for Lego Mindstroms NXT and EV3;
-
Arduino Robotics and C++ programming;
-
Raspberry Pi programming, using Python and Scratch.

Robotics Competition Preparation
$520 for 8 sessions, plus
competition registration fees*

Competitions include First Lego League (FLL), National Robotics Competition (NRC), IDE Series and RIC; *registration fees vary.

Only for regulars who have completed several requirements and strictly by invitation.

Invitees will represent Robotics Connection in a team.
-
Must strive to attend all sessions as part of the team training.
