  • For ages 6+ *Prerequisite - completion of Senior/Master Lego® Engineering series for kids ages 7 and below.

  • Total of 8 sessions per course.

  • 2 hours per session.

  • Develop building skills and an understanding of simple coding concepts.

  • Learn with Lego® WeDo.

  • Build intermediate robotics models using Lego® Mindstorms NXT and programming with NXT-G software.

  • Build robots with different sensors and program them to move in different directions and respond to sensor inputs.

  • Build more complicated robots and program them to respond to multiple sensors, using Lego® Mindstorms NXT programming blocks.

  • For ages 9+ who

    • have completed Level 3; 

    • ​have knowledge of key Lego® Mindstorms NXT robotics parts;

    • can program NXT-G independently.

  • Total of 8 sessions per course.

  • 2 hours per session.

  • Design and create own robot using Lego® Mindstorms NXT, complete with a brief introduction and video presentation of the project.

Ages 9+ or completed Level 4

  • For ages 9+ or those have completed Level 4.

  • Total of 8 sessions per course.

  • 2 hours per session.

  • An introduction to Lego® SPIKE Prime system.

  • Build and program simple robots, using the SPIKE Prime app.

  • Apply knowledge of force, color and ultrasonic sensors.

  • Application of Gyro Sensor.

  • Program with advanced Lego® Mindstorms EV3 commands.

  • For ages 9+ who have completed SPIKE Prime Intermediate level.

  • Total of 8 sessions per course.

  • 2 hours per session.

  • Design, build and program own robot, using SPIKE Prime basic and expansion sets.

  • Meet criteria in terms of size and number of sensors used.

  • Apply engineering concepts in robot design.

  • Present project in a video recording.

  • Build EV3 robots with multiple sensors and more complex mechanical designs.

  • Program with advanced EV3 commands.

  • Program line following and obstacle avoidance robots.

Ages 9+ & completed EV3 Intermediate

  • For ages 9+ who have completed EV3 Intermediate level, are keen to develop their programming skills, plus able to work independently.

  • Total of 8 sessions per course.

  • 2 hours per session.

  • Design, build and program own Lego® Mindstorms EV3 robot to perform specific tasks.

  • Prepare an introduction and video presentation of the project.​

  • Use all prior knowledge gained on mechanical designs, robot movements, usage of sensors and so on to develop and program own robot using Lego® Mindstorms EV3 system.

  • We participate in the following competitions: First Lego League (FLL), National Robotics Competition (NRC), IDE Series, RIC & World Robot Games. *registration fees vary

  • Strictly by invitation.

  • Invitees will represent Robotics Connection in a team.
